Harlow Scrabble Club - Moot House (HARLOW, ESSEX, CM20 3AG) --
Harlow Scrabble Club are based in Moot House in Harlow. We are friendly and welcoming group who enjoy socialising and having a good chat whilst playing our favourite game. Sometimes there is more talking then Scrabble being played. The group has been running for over 10 years and is run by Yvonne. We book a room in Moot House every Wednesday from 1.30pm to 4pm. You are very welcome to drop in at any time between these times and play as many games as you like. All equipment is provided so you only need to bring yourself. You can just turn up on the day and the main office in the moot house will direct you to correct room. Any ability is welcome and if you would like to improve your strategy we have players who are willing to help you with that. There is no pressure to do this though. The group also does not operate league tables. Dictionaries are welcome. The entry price is £4. This is to cover the use of the room at the moot house and includes tea and biscuits. We also have social events 2 to 3 times a year. Previous events include an afternoon out for a pub lunch at Plume and Feathers and an evening out at Frankie and Benny’s. The Moot house is located in the Stow close to shops and a bus stop. There is also a car park just across the road. The moot house is also wheel chair accessible. For more information on the venue please see this link http://www.moothouse.org.uk/index.php If you have any questions please do post a message on here or send a private message.
