World Bog Snorkelling Championship (Y Sgwar, Llanwrtyd, Powys, LD5 4RB) -- World Bog Snorkelling championship is an international sporting event that takes place one the outskirts of Britain`s smallest town Llanwrtyd Wells. This unique event is on every year on August Bank Holiday Monday.

World Champion Bog Snorkelling Triathlete (Ty Barcud, Llanwrtyd, Powys, LD5 4RB) -- This is your real opportunity to become a world famous athletic hero; fancy putting World Champion Bog Snorkelling Triathlete on your CV? To achieve this unique title, remember, you will have to run about 12 miles, then swim through the world famous bog snorkelling trench and then undertake a gruelling mountain bike ride of approximately 19 miles, no doubt crossing the occasional bog, ford, river, stream etc. All in all, a challenging and unique event. And what about the kudos that goes with this title? The world could be your oyster! Guys and gals alike - you will love it.

World Mountain Bike Bog Snorkelling Championships (Ty Barcud, Llanwrtyd, Powys, LD5 4RB) -- This unique event takes place in the famous Waen Rhydd bog on the outskirts of Llanwrtyd Wells, where a trench has been cut, approximately 6 feet deep and 45 yards long. Competitors have to cycle two lengths of the bog underwater using snorkels and riding specially prepared mountain bikes; these bikes are supplied with the tyres filled with lead and water. Wet-suits are recommended and you must supply your own snorkel.
